When Shafik reached out about his Cavalier sunken garden proposal – I was so excited to be able to capture this moment for his family. He was so excited to surprise Emily with a proposal at the Cavalier – and was so sweet to include her family in the moment. On top of that, he was excited to include his son in the proposal, and that was even more special. They’d been together for about three years now, and were even more excited to start their lives together. A little bit of rain (I know it looks sunny in the photos, but it rained!) didn’t stop this special moment. There were umbrellas nearby, and Shafik still made it happen. She said yes!
Getting Engaged at the Cavalier
One of the best parts about working with the staff at the Cavalier is that they’ve got the setup covered for you. They made sure that no one would be in the sunken garden that wasn’t supposed to be, they arranged for a bouquet and flowers to be there – it was great. It’s important to know that you need to reserve the space and do things appropriately in order to make that happen – including photos! The Cavalier is iconic. It’s such a great spot to start the rest of your lives together.
The Cavalier makes for a great spot for a proposal. There’s beautiful spaces to take photos afterwards, too. That’s got to be part of it, right? Enjoying each other’s company while you’re planning the rest of forever.
