If there’s one thing I love in this world, it’s music. Getting to do Virginia concert photography at The Dome (the whole 2 times I’ve done it so far!) has been a blast. I’m so glad that they reached out for Rainbow Kitten Surprise a few months ago, and again for Sam Barber last month. It’s so great to flex some creative skill, while getting to do something that I love – listening to music.
When it comes to how this fits in with Misty Saves the Day – the truth is? It doesn’t. But I’ve always said that you need to work to live and not live to work – so when I can find ways to marry the two, I want that to happen in the worst way. I’ve felt that way about concert photography for a long time. The Dome also asked me to take some photos on the lawn of what its like to get tickets there – and honestly, it’s pretty great. You’ve got dedicated bars, food, bathrooms, merch stands – anything you could want.
If you haven’t checked out a concert at the Dome yet – you’re missing out. It’s a great venue and good times.
