When Erna reached out to me, she very specifically wanted someone who could do Virginia Beach photojournalistic portraits of her family. Sure, there would be some posed things. They were celebrating 50 years of marriage for the matriarch and patriarch of the family – and they wanted photos to celebrate that. The kids and family came from all over the world just to be together to celebrate, and that was so special.
The thing about photography? You get to capture memories and moments for people. When you meet people like this awesome family that understand the importance of what you’re doing? Well, it makes my job so much more fun. I had a BLAST getting to celebrate and capture these moments for this awesome family. That’s the good stuff, you know?
