It was such a pleasure to get to photograph this awesome event. As a Virginia Beach family reunion photographer, it’s cool to get to see families come from all over the country to be together. That was definitely the case with this wonderful family. I’ve known Jodie and Paul since they moved in – it was great to get to meet the rest of their wonderful family and to see them all get together.
It’s so important to make sure you capture moments like these. When your family gets together, or it’s the first time that they have in a while – seeing the cousins, seeing the kids all grown up is important. It’s great for everyone – and USUALLY nobody minds. If anyone minded in this group, I certainly didn’t know! They did it right, though. They prepared, they had a food truck ready to feed them afterwards – and then they got to jump in the pool.
That’s my kind of family reunion.
