Virginia and North Carolina Real Estate frequently gets in front of my camera for monthly content and updated team headshots. I love how they use that time to get creative! I can also tell that they are individually getting more confident in front of the camera. Shoulders are more relaxed, personalities are genuine, and the headshots are on fire. If you are the type that gets nervous in front of the camera, take a page from their book.
Practice makes perfect.
I was also pleasantly surprised at how much I loved their Valentine’s theme. I’m not one to to toss on a pink outfit (can you imagine?!) and obsess over the perfectly punny card. If we are being honest, my ideal card has at least two swear words and is rated PG / PG-13. But I was feeling like a total (emo) love bug by the end of our time together.
And while we are on the topic of things I love…
let’s talk about what they were able to accomplish in one session with an outfit change and a few props. The Valentine’s theme is perfect for fun, seasonal content. It is guaranteed to help their social media presence pop by adding variety and fun. It is a pinch of wholesome joy during a time of year when people are starting to feel the effects of the cold weather and short days.
But the part I really love is…
they intentionally brought a change of clothes! As incredible as the reds and hearts are, we don’t want to oversaturate their accounts with that type of content at the risk of feeling cheesy or inauthentic. A five minute outfit change ensured that we maximized the use of our time at Battlegrounds Coffee in Chesapeake. Not only did we create holiday specific content, but we also updated headshots and gave everyone content they can use regardless of the month or the occasion.
And here is the part that I really REALLY love!
We still kept it fun! Coffee mugs and tape measurers kept things fresh and interesting without feeling distracting. We didn’t forfeit the fun when we lost the bright colors and garland. We just tweaked it so that it could be used beyond February 14th. These are simple adjustments that ensure you are maximizing every minute of our time together. I keep repeating it because it remains true. Simple works. An outfit change is simple. Bringing your favorite coffee mug is simple. Making sure you use the entire space is simple.
And it works.
The VA – NC Real Estate team are mastering their monthly sessions, so don’t be surprised if you see their beautiful faces on a monthly rotation. I honestly hope you take the time to check out their future galleries. I hope you notice how it is always fresh and new. And then I hope you take it one step further and consider what it feel like your own business had fresh and new content each month. How would it change your presence on social media? Would it alter how your ideal clients interact with you on those platforms? My guess is that your answer is “Yes.”
