Small Business Saturday: Why I Do This

I’ve always had a special place in my heart for small business, and now that I am one and understand all the trials that go into being a small business owner, it makes my heart even happier to be able to take some of the burden away from business owners by helping with their social media.  It seems small, but sometimes, doing your own social media can feel significantly more daunting than someone else taking the reigns.  There’s just something about the release of letting go of things into the hands of someone you trust, so you can focus on the more important things (accounting, sales, client experience, etc.).

I know how hard it is to be a small business owner: deciding whether to hang out with your family or meet a deadline.  Trying to schedule a vacation versus getting caught up on work in the slower seasons.  It’s not easy.  The reward is so great, though – whether it’s when you write yourself your first paycheck, a wonderful thank you note from a client, the look on someone’s face or the sound in their voice when you tell them their work is going to be published.  These are only a few of the reasons that I love what I do – and I love doing it for small businesses.
