Samantha Newton had a session in Norfolk, Virginia and it showcases the power in changing locations. Best part? We were able to get such a wide variety of shots without having to go far. Use what you love and what you have! In Norfolk, there is no shortage of opportunity for fun and creative content. We started at Cure and made sure to grab a to-go cup (which made appearances throughout the day) before wandering through the Freemason District. And if you thought I would go to Norfolk without stopping by the Neon District, then you absolutely do not know me. Not even one bit. Finally, we ended the day in the Railroad District. None of this required crazy car rides and neither of us had to block out an entire day for the session.
We live in an incredible part of Virginia – take advantage of it!
Your session doesn’t have to be elaborate or complicated. You like coffee? I know a few places. Enjoy an outdoor stroll? We are stacked with historical neighborhoods. Crazy about the water? I’m obsessed with Back Bay Wildlife Refuge, anyway – let’s go! My point is that we have the ability to utilize our incredible surroundings to give you unique, personalized portraits that will serve your business. I honestly think there is something to be said for taking pictures in a place that you know and love. It creates a layer of comfort while also paying tribute to your home and all of the beautiful places that make it so amazing. If you are the type of person that get’s nervous in front of the camera, do yourself a favor and pick a location that is special and familiar.
And If you need any ideas, I’ve got a few.
Samantha Newton, you were an absolute blast. I loved getting to know more about what you do as a counselor and think it is pretty rad that you are also a writer. The fact that you didn’t think it was (too) crazy that I toted and photographed my coffee cup is also pretty cool. What I’m saying, is the whole session was awesome and I can’t wait to see how you use these images.
Still wondering if you can actually get tons of content with just one shoot? Shoot me an email. I would love to chat with you about what would work best for your business and how we can maximize our time together.
