Kenzie’s Norfolk Botanical Gardens Senior Session

Kenzie is graduating from Grassfield High School next year, which means it’s already time for those senior photos!

When I think of Grassfield area I think of the more country side of Chesapeake and since Kenzie is from the Grassfield area, she knew she wanted wildflowers incorporated into her session. I immediately knew the perfect spot this time of year: the wildflower patch at Norfolk Botanical Garden.

And while the wildflowers were a big reason we chose the location, one of the things I love about photographing senior sessions at Norfolk Botanical Garden is all the variety. There are so many different landscapes, paths, gardens, and backgrounds to choose from, which gives us plenty of opportunities to create a gallery of photos that feels unique to each senior.

Of course, I had to include a few photos that showed off another big part of Kenzie’s next chapter, softball! We worked in her softball cleats and a T-shirt representing the university where she’ll be playing softball in South Carolina.

Go Converse Women’s Softball!

I’ll actually get to see Kenzie again later this month when I photograph her entire family, and I can’t wait. It’s always so special when I get to document more than one chapter for a family.

Kenzie, I’ll be rooting for you! Congratulations on this exciting next chapter!
