People don’t think to stay in Virginia Beach in the winter. We’re known for the beach – and that’s not exactly a winter activity. The reality, though, is that there is a ton to do here even if you aren’t a beach person (or don’t need the beach to relax!). The Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront has all the vibes you need for a good time – no matter the weather outside. I’m from Virginia Beach, so I’ve always appreciated this place. I know that’s not so easy for everyone, especially warm weather lovers. Virginia Beach in the winter can be some of the best times you’ll have, though. It’s less crowded, less lines, and still a TON of fun things to do.
Chris and I stayed at the Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront right after New Years. The hotel was still pretty busy, but it didn’t feel like it. They added in some really cool features, like a record player in our room that played Weezer right when we walked in, and an Instax camera to make memories with. Granted, we were there to also create great content for the hotel – but it was awesome to have those features for us! We went to dinner at Esoteric, and came back and had drinks at the bar. Our awesome bartenders also made some non-alcoholic drinks for Dry January for us to create content for and feature that were just as delicious!
The next morning, we checked out Belvedere South for breakfast. I had an awesome made-to-order omelet, Chris got eggs and sausage – and one of those epic cinnamon rolls to go. It was great to just get away – even if we were in our hometown – and not worry about anything else.
Planning a Staycation?
If you’re thinking of a great, comfy staycation, with a great VIEW of the beach (but don’t necessarily want to go) – look no further than the Moxy. It was awesome. I highly recommend it. I’m pretty sure Chris would tell you the same thing.
