Taylor + Kelsey {Charleston Rehearsal Dinner}

I tried so hard to pair these down.

So, so hard.

But from the gorgeous rehearsal dinner to the equally stunning after party (complete with a VERY BIG surprise guest)… I had a hard time.

This was one of the coolest experiences to photograph, and I simply couldn’t.  Kelsey & Taylor had their rehearsal dinner at Hotel Bennett in Charleston, South Carolina. So… that meant a trip to Charleston with Antonia Christianson Events (thank you for referring me!) to photograph this really, fun, pre-wedding event.

And trust me when I say it was a great party. The dinner was elegant, with no detail missed, lots of hugs, laughter and love, and then there was an AMAZING after party, that we’ll get to in a minute – with a VERY special surprise guest.

And then there was the After Party, located in another area of Hotel Bennett, with incredible food, amazing decor, and even more of the couples’ out-of-town guests.

With a super special surprise guest – even to the couple! Riley Green, the Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year in 2020, was brought in be the entertainment for the after party. It was an emotional surprise and shock to the couple, as Mr. Green played songs of his own and some covers of others that everyone in the crowd knew and loved. Can you imagine holding onto that secret?! I am so impressed with their parents and their vendor team for keeping it under wraps.

For what it’s worth – I’m always down to travel to do something fun and different like this. This Charleston rehearsal dinner was more epic than I could’ve imagined.

These experiences, these awesome things? It’s what life’s all about.
