Is it summer yet? Or at least consistent spring? I am ready for sandy sessions and bare feet. My most recent visit with Leslie Coleman – Virginia and North Carolina realtor – was based out of her rental home in Kill Devil Hills. It was a salty breath of fresh air. A much need Outer Banks photo session. And there were murals.
You know how much I love a good mural.
Leslie found a way to incorporate all of the blues of the ocean in her home while also giving a nod to the cool vibe that can only be found oceanside. It offered incredible insight into how she incorporates her sense of style into a space that will be shared with countless guests. Don’t be surprised if you see this house on my Instagram with me chilling in the hammock.
This gallery is such a good example of how you can make your feed more personal without feeling cringy or awkward. When Leslie shares these photos, they are personal. They showcase her flare, are a tribute to the work she has put into this space, and give glimpses into her fun personality. You can get all of that from the pictures. Some of you will gravitate toward the bright and airy styles of the interior. Others will dig the style of art throughout the house and the exterior. And where are my knitting fans at?!
My point is that you can make your social media more personal just by choosing a photo shoot location that is unique to you. Simple decisions can add to the content of your marketing. It creates memorable glimpses that serve as powerful reminders when clients start to think about the businesses they want to work with. They know that realtors can help them find a new home. But a realtor that can recommend a killer paint job is one that stands out.
In a world full of businesses, be the one that stood out because you weren’t afraid to be yourself.
Choose to highlight yourself in small and meaningful ways. Trust me – it won’t steer you wrong. In fact, when we book new clients we are banking on a universal truth: you are your greatest asset. The questions we ask are intentional. They are designed to prompt you to think about your strengths and your beautiful weirdness. You embraced entrepreneurships in a way unique to you. It’s easy to think that marketing is about your business. At Misty Saves the Day, we focus on you. Because you are really amazing. And you are what draws people in.
