One of my favorite things to do when it comes to marketing is Virginia tourism marketing. I was born and raised here in Virginia Beach, so when I meet people who love this place as much as I do, it’s really special. One of the fun things that we get to do as social media managers, though, too, is get to learn more about other areas. We’ve got clients all over – Charlottesville, The Eastern Shore, Baltimore, Denver, Charleston. Showing people ways that they can support local no matter where they are is a giant passion of ours. It gives us the opportunity to appreciate new spaces as much as the place that we live, too.
Recently, I had the pleasure of getting to go to Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront on two occasions. The first, I went for their Music Bingo night on Wednesday nights. It was a great time – so great, in fact, that we’re planning a fun time with the team when they’re all in town! We got some great content for their Facebook and Instagram to use for all the different events that they host – for locals and those that are staying there. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of getting to go to Belvedere South, a restaurant located adjacent to their space, to update their menu photos and restaurant photos. Folks staying at The Moxy can enjoy food and drinks from there, but they’ve got an entry from Atlantic Avenue for locals and anyone else that wants to enjoy this brunch institution in Virginia Beach.
It’s truly a pleasure to get to do things like this for businesses. Even though Moxy is a chain, it’s locally owned – and that’s important to note. We’re finding ways to support local, in ways that you might not expect.
