You might recognize some of this adorable family from an earlier blog. Brandon Gulla and I met recently to update and expand his professional headshots in Norfolk. We decided to switch it up a bit for his family portraits and made our way to Virginia Beach. First Landing State Park was an incredible backdrop for these dreamy fall pictures. From sweater dresses to tall boots, the Gulla family couldn’t have been more perfect.
Fun fact: Brandon isn’t the only Gulla adult I know! I actually sold Kara her wedding dress – the same dress she would marry Brandon in.
If that isn’t some small-world-after-all goodness, then what is?!
Thank you Brandon and Kara for sharing your sweet family with me. I have photographed many children and these cuties were stellar. I can’t wait to work with your family in the future, whether professionally or personally. And you know I’ll trek through the woods with you any day.
Besides, we all know that family portraits in Virginia Beach are a fan favorite of mine.
If you’ve ever wondered why I showcase family sessions on the Misty Saves the Day business blog, it is because I don’t see the two as wholly separate. The same clients asking me for updated headshots are the same ones asking for updated family pictures. The distinction between the work I do with MSTD clients and the work I do with families isn’t black and white. (Unless it’s the checkerboard print on my Vans.) I consider every session to be important and worthy of a shout out. So, that is exactly what you will get here. A variety of content, lots of smiling faces, and a million different reasons why I love what I do.
