It’s such a privilege to be the Virginia Beach content photographer for Tashena Shaw. When another photographer asks you to take their photos, it’s such a kind sign of respect for the work that you do. I’ve been fortunate enough to do Tashena’s headshots since 2019. The fact that she calls me again and again – whether it’s for content photography or her family photos – means the world.
When she was choosing the vibe that she wanted for this round of headshots, she wanted something fun and colorful. I know you’ve seen them in my feed a lot lately, but it’s impossible not to love Moxy Virginia Beach and the vibes that they bring. We did a combination of natural light vibes and more studio lit photos, and I’m so pumped with how these turned out.
Taking a Break
It’s important to take a break sometimes. Tashena and I talked about how we used the holiday break to reset- and man, it shows. I get so much more creative and excited for taking content photos when I’ve reset and relaxed and can start fresh. Resetting allows the ability to get (and stay!) creative. As a human who just keeps going without ever stopping, I’m really bad at acknowledging that stopping sometimes makes for a way better product.
I’m pretty sure this session is a great indication of stopping for the greater good of amazing content.
