Erin O’Brien always makes sure she’s got great content. These Va Beach lifestyle headshots were part of her quarterly content shoots – and we did them at her new home. The craziest part? I grew up going to this house at least once a week. It was owned by someone who I spent a ton of time with when I was a kid. Annie used to help me with everything – she bought my back to school clothes, made sure I had new shoes, and drove me to and from church and just about anything else that I needed to do. She was a surrogate grandmother back then. Erin’s house may LOOK different than Annie’s did – but it’s the exact same house that I celebrated my birthdays at when I was a kid (make sure you go to the bottom to see that epic photo).
Erin came with a checklist of things that she knew she wanted for her social media over the next few months – and man, we were able to make it all happen in the hour that we were together. Not only that – we got to have girls fun time afterwards to celebrate our friend, Melissa’s birthday. This is the good stuff, man. This is the stuff that makes me happy. When your marketing is TRULY you (and it really can’t be more you than the house that you dreamed about, made your own, and call home) – it’s about as effective as marketing can be. I’m so privileged to do this – and I’ll say that time and time again.
Speaking of Personal Touches
And because I know you guys scrolled down to the bottom all the way for this – I present to you by 13th birthday. I spent it with Annie and all my best friends at her house, surprised with a cake and balloons. Yes, I rocked the polo shirt and aggressively dyed my hair all the time. We don’t need to talk about that right now.
