One of the coolest parts of having a team is that we’ve got ALL sorts of different personalities – and I figured it was time for you to properly meet them in one of these blogs. Our team is AMAZING and wonderful. These small business social media managers work so hard to make sure that your marketing is great for your business. They care about each and every one of our clients, and that’s so apparent in all that they do. So without further ado… meet the team.
Oh, and all the photos and videos are by my best friend, Mike Dragon of Dragon Studio, who isn’t TECHNICALLY part of the team, but we include him in everything we do.
Britney Lowe – Director of Client Experience
“Hi, y’all! I’m Britney Lowe—a social worker by education but a lover of people and the human experience since birth. I took a whim on social media management after Misty Saves the Day posted an opening. A close friend told me I would regret it my whole life if I didn’t apply. It turns out she was right. It’s been amazing to see how my social worker strengths have blended perfectly with helping people share their stories on social media. I LOVE getting to know our clients—like really, really getting to know them—and then using that relationship to create a space for them in the world that is wholly their own.
I recently returned to North Carolina in the Wilmington area. I have an adorable son who was born for a beach bum lifestyle. We look forward to surfing lessons, learning to cruise on our longboards, and paddle boarding around the intercostal waterway. When I’m not collecting seashells with him, you can find me behind a camera or hunting for the nearest local bookstore.I can make a friend out of a stranger in minutes and only know how to love with my whole, big heart. I can’t wait to get to know you!”
Britney serves all of our clients in some capacity, but helps manage social media accounts in Virginia Beach, Baltimore, and Norfolk.

Kelley Stinson – Director of Education
“I am a proud “boy mom” to two teenage sons, ages 16 and 14, and have been happily married to my husband, Erik, for 20 years. We spent nearly a decade in Virginia Beach while Erik, served as a pilot at NAS Oceana. Upon his retirement in 2020, we moved back to my hometown of Valdosta, GA, where we’ve found a love for small-town living. Outside of work, I’ve had a passion for photography since 2011, specializing in wedding photography until recently transitioning to private photo editing. I’m also a dedicated CrossFitter of 10 years, avid reader, and love all plants (despite occasionally being put on restriction from buying more!).
My active teenage boys keep me on my toes—whether it’s supporting my wakeboarding daredevil or comforting my aspiring golfer after a tough round. I take immense pride in watching them navigate this exciting stage of their lives. My husband and I cherish quiet evenings at home and prioritize spending time with our extended family and close friends.”
In addition to helping all of our clients in some capacity, Kelley manages social media accounts for small businesses in Denver and Norfolk.

Sandy Barnes – Associate Photographer + Social Media Manager
My real name is Sandra, but I go by Sandy! I was born and raised in Hampton Roads, VA and love that it offers such a variety of locations to fit whatever vibe you are going for! I am happily married (10 years!) and have three kids who keep me on my toes! I love to craft, bake, and enjoy a good cup of coffee at local coffee shops! When I am not binge watching The Office for the 100th time, I am constantly watching educational videos about photography.
My interest in photography started back when I was in high school (DARK ROOM DAYS), and since then, I’ve always continued learning and investing in my passion. It wasn’t until recently that I made the plunge and went full time! I love fun props, color, and bringing high energy to sessions. Working with small + local businesses is important to me—when I first started my photography business, it was hard to find anyone locally to bounce ideas off of or even reach out to for guidance. I want to be able to help small businesses by elevating their brand with beautiful images and showcasing their services or products in a creative way.
Some of my favorite things (besides family + friends) are:
the office, parks & rec, superstore, golden girls, bridesmaids
chocolate, salsa, lolly’s ice cream
champagne, coffee, champagne
cooking, baking, crafting
Sandy owns her own amazing photography business, Sandra Leigh Photo, and kindly fills in and helps based on her availability.
Sandy works on social media management for small businesses in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and Cape Charles and helps capture imagery across Coastal Virginia for us. Learn more about her in her video here.

Phoebe Bethune – Social Media Manager
I basically grew up singing, dancing and acting, so if you took me to trivia night, I gotcha on the musical theatre questions. I have a collection of Weird Al t-shirts and know his parodies better than the original versions. I rarely forget a face or name, don’t ask me how. I’m a glass half full, loving sunshiny days, and fresh flowers type of gal.
Phoebe manages accounts for us in Elizabeth City and Norfolk. Watch her video here!

Oh, and me. Misty. Owner and Photographer.
The more important stuff, written by my best friend, Mike Dragon with Dragon Studio:
I’ve been Misty’s best friend for about 8 or 9 years now… maybe longer. But what’s time really mean when you are spending it with the people most important to you? Right? Let me tell you a story… an origin story. I promise I’ll keep it short.
When I first knew Misty I did not like her. I had a preconceived opinion of who she was at the time. I even tried to get her in trouble one time… but a couple years later we would find ourselves paired up working on a project together. During that time I realized that Misty and I shared many things in common: hockey, music, movies, life goals, humor, are just a few examples. Slowly but surely we became inseparable. Truly, that’s who she is. Misty is an enigma.
She transcends space and time. She has a way of pulling you in- even when you don’t want to. She has a way of showing you the things you didn’t know you wanted to see.
I suppose I should mention some professional things about her too…
She works SO hard. Like unreasonably hard. And she ALWAYS always always wants to do everything she can for everyone- to a fault at points. She will be your biggest cheerleader and confidant. She’ll make you feel like you can do anything but not just that she’ll be right by your side through it all. If she doesnt know how to do it she’ll figure it out or she inevitably has someone in her back pocket that can.
She has an orbit and people, places and things are attracted to it. Trust me, I tried to resist having a girl best friend. But you’ll very quickly see you can’t resist the good times that Misty brings. And yea- she’s also hella professional too and you should probably hire her. I think I have to say that though since this is the bio on her website… but it’s true. All of it.
The reality is even though we all live in different places, we work so well together – and we do it on behalf of all the small businesses that we work with. Being small business social media managers isn’t just a job – it’s helping people have the life that they want to live. And we all love doing it.
