Ratliff Family {Chesapeake Family Photos}

There’s a special place in my heart for in-home family photos – and family photos in general. These Chesapeake family photos were are a blast – and had been a while in the making. The Ratliffs and I discovered that we had a bunch of common friends and acquaintances – and had been introduced and re-introduced by all of them. They had never taken family photos, so it was more than my pleasure to get to capture their first set.

Their girls were amazing. Scarlett even drew me as myself but as an octopus with an octopus tattoo.

My Why

I became a photographer because we didn’t have family photos growing up. It wasn’t because I wanted to take headshots all the time (although I love to do that, too). I became a photographer because I knew that it was important for my own family to have those photos and I wanted to give the same gift to others.

I’m glad I got to do that for this awesome family.
