This Little Island family session was extra special because it was with a family that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for some time. While I’ve never met their kids, I had the pleasure of helping Jeanine find her wedding dress 10 (ish?) years ago. That was in my past life, when I worked at a bridal salon and helped people find the perfect dress.
There was a chance of thunderstorms the day of their session, so we moved up their session time. We utilized the awesome pier at Little Island for better lighting for their family photos – but not without replicating some photos that they’d had taken previously to show just how much their children had grown.
Family sessions are the best. Not just because you get a great photo of your family – but because kids and parents have an opportunity to capture their families just as they are right now. I know that my kids aren’t the same as they were 6 months ago, let alone a year or two ago.
The Zubowsky family opted to have this Little Island family session while they were in town on vacation. Their last family session was photographed by my awesome friend, Kelley Stinson, who moved away and referred me (so thankful that she did!).
If you’ve been wanting family photos – don’t wait. We get ours done every year (and sometimes twice), because, as our kids are almost 7 and 10, they keep changing, and we want to remember every moment.
Thinking about booking a family session?
Send me a message, fill out the contact form, send a carrier pigeon (although I might be booked by the time it gets here). Let’s talk more.
