I was really fortunate when a good friend made my first Misty Saves the Day logo. While I knew what I was doing (or what I wanted to do) with Misty Saves the Day. I didn’t give her much to go on, because I was going in a million different directions with what I wanted. My color palette was all over the place. My style was all over the place. The world was my oyster and I could literally do whatever I wanted, because it was my own business. I was so enamored with the possibilities that I sent her in a million different directions.
I’m officially a year in. January 1st of last year was the day that I was officially self-employed. No paycheck coming in regularly unless I created it. With that said, when I came up on a year of business (and, let’s be honest, when it was time to order more business cards), and I was doing all those fun recaps that everyone does – I suddenly had a burst of energy. A lightbulb. I knew who/what I wanted Misty Saves the Day to be and to look like.
I’ve always loved the stars, for as long as I can remember. My mom used to pick up star chachkes, clothing, and jewelry. Whatever she found with a star on it because she knew that’s what I loved. When my husband and I first started dating, we’d go out to Sandbridge at night, sit in the lifeguard stand, and watch the stars. I have a tattoo on my left arm that’s an Oscar Wilde quote that’s always been one of my favorites – “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” Whatever the stars symbolized to me growing up, and even know – it’s always been about being a dreamer, and I’m the quintessential one.
Isn’t that what being a business owner is all about? Dreaming big, pushing yourself, going further than you’ve ever gone before? When you hire someone to help you – don’t you do that so that you can achieve those goals, those dreams, or at the very least get one step closer?
With that said, I’m super excited to unveil the new logo and branding board for Misty Saves the Day – I think it’s the perfect representation of who I am, but also the perfect representation of what I want to do for small businesses. It made my day. It made my life. You’re really going to love it, I think.
OH I JUST LOVE IT !!! And it is so you for sure !!! ???
