Getting to be the Creative Mornings Virginia Beach photographer is pretty special. There are so many wonderful business owners that I get to meet and community members that we get to hear from every month. It’s expanded my reach and my network in a super meaningful way – all while leaving each meeting a little more inspired than when I arrived. October’s meeting with Joey from Lolly’s was great.

Share Joy

With a tagline like “Share Joy” – there was a lot of joy in the sharing of his story. He and Jacqueline have worked so hard to create a family brand that’s so recognized across Coastal Virginia. Kids ask to go to Lolly’s and get that delicious cookie monster ice cream. With a few locations across Coastal Virginia, they’ve expanded from being an ice cream cart that would pop-up in different places to having brick and mortar stores to bring your family. It doesn’t hurt that the ice cream is delicious, too.

Everyone’s story is special. Joey was a teacher before he started Lolly’s, and that shows just how much he’s loved giving back to the community. Helping shape the minds of kids in the classroom and having a staff that he and Jacqueline love and support and believe in the Lolly’s brand is something that every business owner should strive for. I left feeling inspired to be better for our own team – and craving some ice cream. That kind of inspiration on a monthly basis has been vital to me and my business.

Creative Mornings Virginia Beach is free to be part of – and I think that’s important to note. Thanks to the City of Virginia Beach, ViBe Creative District, Creative Well Arts, and Adobe – you can come get inspired on the third Friday of every month at 8:30am with us. Like they say – everyone is welcome. They mean it.
