I was so honored when Cody called me and asked me to be his Chesapeake proposal photographer. Cody remodeled our bathrooms for us about 6 years ago when we moved into our home, and remembered that I was a photographer. When it was time to plan this momentous day, he called me. It made me so happy that he remembered me from taking headshots and working with him over the years. He told me that Stephie was the girl he’d been waiting 40 years for. Cody planned things out meticulously.
He contacted a jeweler to help him create the perfect ring for her. Cody planned out his speech. He got his friends and family to Lockside Restaurant, where they first met, under the guise of a holiday party. Cody sent her to get her nails done beforehand, so that she’d feel fancy when he asked. And then, of course, he called me.
Proposals Should Feel Personal
Cody did an amazing job making sure that their proposal was inherently personal. He proposed at the exact spot that he met her for the first time. Their friends and family were there, because they are family people at heart. It was the perfect way to start their lives together – right where they first met, with the people who have loved and supported them all along the way. This is the kind of stuff that I love. Watching business owners and great people meet and fall in love and build the life that they’ve dreamed of.
