Jamie – one of the powerhouse women with Misty Saves the Day – was the one to introduce me to Meggan Adams. When Meggan later asked me to capture pictures of her and her husband before their big move to Georgia, I knew she was truly a woman after my own heart. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we recently moved to a new house. One of the things I am most grateful that I did was to take pictures of my family in our previous home – the space where so many memories had been created. When the Adams couple requested pictures in Virginia Beach before they headed south, I knew exactly what they were trying to capture.
Pleasure Point House Natural Area was the perfect place to help these two celebrate and honor their time in Virginia. With over 118 acres of gorgeous landscape, there was no shortage of beautiful pictures to be taken. Meggan, I hope this gallery helps you remember the memories you and Mark created in Virginia. I know the Georgia has incredible adventures waiting for you. I also know that Virginia will always feel like home. That is one of my favorite parts of the human heart.
It is large enough to consider many people and places home.
Fun fact: Pleasure Point House Natural Area is currently hosting a SOUNDWALK?! Hosted by the Virginia Arts Festival, you can walk through the park while listening to music that is triggered based on the path you choose. Ellen Reid is the composer and sound director for this project. She also won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in Music, in case you needed one more reason to check this out.
When I say that I love capturing the moments that are most important to people, I’m not lying. It doesn’t matter what the moment is. You are the author of the parts of your story that you want to highlight, and I’m just stoked for a chance to help you document it. Reach out if you’re interested in preserving the parts of life worth remembering.
