It’s crazy that it’s been 10 years of social media management for businesses for Misty Saves the Day. When I started this thing, I truly thought it would only be me. I’ve said that over and over again. The best surprise in owning a business has been the way that the right people have come at the right times. Those people aren’t just friends and employees, it’s also clients and opportunities. We’re so lucky that we get to be so integrated into our community, and other communities up and down the East Coast. It’s really special, honestly.

In November, we celebrated 10 years of Misty Saves the Day with a giant party at The Moxy Hotel Virginia Beach Oceanfront. I invited anyone who I’d worked with over the years in some way shape or form – and it was so cool to see how many people WANTED to be there and be part of it. What I couldn’t have anticipated was that it would be more of a celebration for me than a way for this community that we know and love to also know and love each other.

Dragon Studio crushed the photography, as always. After a day of content creation with the team, we ended with this epic party, with amazing vendors, wonderful clients and people, and a surprise video that I never could’ve dreamed up (you can watch that video here). Do Everything with Purpose

On top of celebrating 10 years, we worked to raise $5,000 for the Foodbank via silent auction. We’re up to $3,000 and hosting a headshot day on January 12 to try to reach that goal. $5,000 will be 10,000 meals for families across Coastal Virginia and beyond.
