Sometimes, this just workout. That’s how becoming the Virginia Beach wedding weekend photographer for Amanda and Eric worked out. Jamie Leigh Events coordinated with me to photograph this event last minute, as they realized that they’d have all of their out of town guests there to kick the celebration off, and their wedding photographer wasn’t available. I was only there for an hour- but we got a ton of great images for them. It didn’t hurt that they had an awesome live musician, oyster roasting, Baker’s Crust to cater, and all the hugs.
Amanda and Eric and their family and friends were so wonderful and kind – and not just because they shared the oysters and cookies with me. They were so good at making sure everyone there knew each other, could celebrate together, and felt included. PopVB did an awesome job on the balloons – the whole thing was just awesome. I was bummed I couldn’t hang out with everyone at the wedding – it was one of those things that you left and were just happy to get to know those people, even for a moment.
There were lots of hugs, lots of laughing, and good times all around. I loved getting to see Echard Wheeler‘s photos and sneak peeks after their big day later!
While I don’t typically do weddings and events like this, I don’t mind doing them every once in a while. I came from the wedding world, after all. Never hesitate to ask – and I promise if I can’t, or I’m not the right person, I’ve got a bunch of other people who I’d love to refer to you.
