The Moggio family were sent my way via the Cortina family. They were in town from Northern Virginia and made the best of their visit to the beach. Their Virginia Beach family session was made a little more special by their adorable daughters. I have a soft spot for sisters, especially those that are unafraid to laugh big, run hard, and won’t shy away from throwing in a frown or two.
Almost sounds like a few Prewitt girls I know.
As we get ready to celebrate the holidays, I have to mention the things I am thankful for as a business owner. (I’m pretty sure it is a requirement to post an obligatory gratitude post. I don’t make the rules.). In all seriousness, “family” is one of the words that I frequently use when describing how much I love what I do. I originally created Misty Saves the Day with the hope that being a business owner would allow me to expand the ways I am present for my own family. It absolutely has, but I am surprised at how connected I feel to other families.
The families I photograph.
The families of the entrepreneurs we work with.
The families that are supported through employment by those businesses.
The reality is that Misty Saves the Day has allowed me to a feel a deep connection to so many people, whether I have met them or not. The past two years have only amplified that connection for me. I do not take it for granted that when a business trusts my team to manage their social media, they are trusting us to help them grow. That growth ripples throughout our community. It allows people to take care of their partners, children, families, friends, and an entire spectrum of loved ones. When I really sit down with that realization, it is impossible not to feel motivated and impassioned.
And so freaking grateful.
Thank you to the Moggio family for trusting me to capture precious oceanside moments. Thank you to the many people that allow me to photograph them. Thank you to our incredible clients who continue to grow and learn with us. Thank you to my own team for the way they show up and help me make all of this a reality. (I used to swear I would run Misty Saves the Day all by myself. I’ve never been happier to be wrong.) At the risk of sounding cliche, I have so much to be thankful for.
My blog is full of beautiful faces that serve as proof.
Now that you are feeling warm and fuzzy, here are a few of my favorite adorable pictures from the Moggio family session. Be sure to scroll to the end for a sweet candid moment between these two denim darlings.
