This gallery may seem like a mosh pit of images. This content photography was taken in July and October. Between these two sessions, we covered tons of spots in Virginia Beach, had outfit changes galore, and experienced different seasons. Emily Baker was inside, outside, drinking coffee, and even hitting the Peloton. (I spy Cody Rigsby.) We showed off the parts of her that are all business but also made time for poolside fun. We even invited Crystal Salazar to join in for a popsicle toast! So, yeah. It is a bit of a mosh pit.
And that’s kind of the point.
Ideally, content photography needs to be able to showcase your brand and business. Most clients put a fair amount of time and energy into their session, so it makes sense to generate enough photos for you to use across multiple social media platforms for several months. Ask any woman on my team. They do a genuine happy dance when I deliver content for a client, because it means they can create posts that feel real. Sure, we can pull stock photos. But it ain’t the same. It ain’t even close.
The following quote is from a 2021 Later article: “A high level of authenticity can go a long way in building a stronger connection to your audience, which in turn encourages more engagement.” We see this happen with our accounts time and time again. Your audience – your potential clients – know when you are showing up and when you are just posting. In a world where almost every business has a social media presence, those authentic moments stand out.
The analytics don’t lie.
This may be obvious, but great content starts with content photography. Those images need to highlight your business and you. That’s why we go to your favorite restaurants and coffee shops. We show you playing fetch with your dog. Your kids and friends make cameos. It might not seem like those moments matter in the context of your business, but think about this:
The thing that will always make your business wholly unique is you.
Clients that become repeat customers do so because of your ideas, your service, and your general awesomeness. They want to see the heart and flesh behind the services and items they love. This is your invitation to get in front of the camera. Be awkward. Wear the crazy socks and pop the champagne. Wander around a corn maze. Whatever the hell makes you happy.
Your ideal clients are out there waiting to meet you.
