Okay. I know I’ve talked about how awesome it is to go to multiple locations and have outfit changes for your content session. (I still stand by that.) BUT Amanda shows how awesome your images can be just a few steps away from your bedroom. Creating content magic for Amanda Joan Baking didn’t require anything complicated. We took advantage of the space that gives her inspiration and allows her to create incredible cookie art – her very own kitchen.
The reason why this session worked is because it is real. It’s not a cutesy gimmick or a ploy. Amanda actually bakes in this kitchen. She creates in this space. That makes a huge difference when photographing content! If you are uncomfortable and posing in a space that doesn’t actually feed your business, it will show. If you do most of your work in your living room and it tells part of your business story, then let’s set up shop in your living room. Maybe you have a kick ass garden that allows you to recharge so you can show up 101% for your clients. Sounds like a great excuse to get our hands dirty. Do you spend 15 minutes in your sunroom every morning with your favorite Golden Girl’s themed mug?
